The Pallieter Group was founded by Martin van Doorne in 1981 and has grown to become a large family holding with five main divisions, being Pallieter Trucks, Pallieter Tools, Pallieter Invest, Pallieter RENEFF and Pallieter Packaging.
The Pallieter Group has a preference for investing in “business to business” trading companies. In doing this, we strive for growth, empowering the companies to build a (relatively) strong position in the market with suppliers. Everything here is based on the long term.
The subsidiaries are, without exception, healthily capitalised, so that the management’s strategy can remain independent. The daily and operational management and running of the companies is in the hands of the company management. The Pallieter Group supervises this through the supervisory board, supported by the management where desired, and provides advice.
Approximately 1.450 people work for the Pallieter Group around the world
The Pallieter Group has 54 locations of its own and 3 subsidiaries around the world
The Pallieter Group is called after the book of the same name by the Flemish writer Felix Timmermans. He wrote the book in 1916 and created a master-in-the-art-of-living as the main character. Timmermans wanted to create a character with Pallieter that could continue under its own steam. The Pallieter Group logo is a stylised cartoon of the statue of Pallieter that can be found in Lier, in Belgium.
